EAGLE RANCH GOLF COURSE located in Invermere, BC, Canada
Great Course!
started off by free tees/water/markers/divot repair/chocolate bar....... then they let us out early even though we booked twilight.
marshal made the guys in front of us start playing best ball and made them move ahead a tee box. Very classy and what all courses should make their marshals do. Speed play for our foursome was 4 hrs because they made the slower players make adjustments.
Also, marshal actually took our order on the 5th tee box for the turn on 9-10.
great club house and great food.

We will do this again next year on our 4th annual golf trip.

SWANESET BAY RESORT GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB (Links) located in Pitt meadows, BC, Canada
| I don't know what's going on at this place but all I can conclude is that they've given up on the Resort course. Either that or they are now going for an African-theme because the grass (wherever there actually IS grass) looks like it hasn't received water in 2-3 months. Granted, it has been hot lately, but I have never seen a course so brown. In fact, large areas in the middle of the fairways are simply hard, brown patches of dirt. For a course that claims to have "conditions that rival any in BC," this was a big disappointment. I thought this was supposed to be a top-notch course but I see now why there was nobody except me out there on a hot Sunday afternoon in July. Oh, and the mosquitoes up there will eat you alive. This place is definitely not worth the drive into the middle of nowhere. |

| I golf nine holes, with my girlfriend Linda, every morning before work! On this morning I wasn't having a great game but on the 8th hole that changed! I took my 7 iron lined up and when the ball was heading for the green it looked like it was going into the sand trap on the right but instead landed just over the trap on the green. Then proceeded to roll to the back of the green into the hole. We both cheered and jumped up and down. How exciting for both of us! |
